EVERYONE IS A STORY TELLER AND EVERYONE HAS A STORY
When we hear the word “STORY TELLING”, each of us start thinking about our favorite authors, writers etc. And in this thought process, we forget our inner story teller. Because let’s agree, since childhood each of us has cooked many stories in their minds. Sometimes to escape from the situations or to escape from scoldings of teacher in school, remember those times when you would skip your homework and had to justify it. And then you would come up with some shitty story about how you forgot to do it (haha!). See, as I said everyone here is a story teller.
Let’s recall few more scenarios, the excuses we used to give to our parents to skip the school. Those times when you had boast about your family’s greatness infront of your friends. Those reasons to go to friend’s place (group study was the biggest lie) (giggles). Also in high school when we had to find reasons to talk to our crush (I would come up with dumbest reasons and regret it later). And most of the important were those stories which we had to create stories in stress after being caught while bunking the classes in college. Trust me those were the most edgy situations. Like you have to say some valid reason to bunk the classes and make them believe it. HILARIOUS!
I think that those were the times when I started working on my story telling skills. So these all were the scenarios that justify that all of us are story tellers. Some stories are created
SOURCES OF A STORY
- Out of our imagination
- Stressful situations
- Incidents around you
Very often some interesting people around us become characters of our story. Literally saying there are numerous stories around us and when some interesting aspect strikes our mind, it triggers our thought process and that is when we start building our story.
CREATING YOUR STORY
So I just wanted to say EVERYONE IS A STORY TELLER. Some realize it while others don’t. Some pen their stories while other stories remain raw and are lost. Everyone is a story teller, but the difference is how you shape your story and make it worth enough to showcase it to millions out there. Never think you can’t do it. The PERSEVERENCE is the key. Unless you work on your story, it’s not going to work out.
HOW TO START?
You witness something. And then you think about it.Then there is thought process.
You put it into words and curate it in a way that it becomes an amazing masterpiece.
So what are you waiting for,
Pick a pen and book, choose a comfy corner, sip your tea (or coffee) and start it. Just pour your heart out on that paper. Begin with a sentence and then a paragraph and gradually you will have a story of your own. It may sound simple but you definitely need to work on it. Happy writing!
Always remember “EVERYONE IS A STORYTELLER”. So are you.
